A World Away

Hi everyone! I pray all is going well with you. I am doing fine! It's been a crazy couple of weeks so Tim and I fled the city and went up to Birmingham for two days. It's not far but when you are away you feel like it's a million miles away, don't you? We had a great time. Thanks to some sweet friends who work at Robert Trent Jones; we were able to enjoy the Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort. We had so much fun. We relaxed, slept in, chilled!

We did alot of shopping at all the malls! We ate at Cheese Cake Factory, PF Changs; two of our favorites. We didn't want to come home; but we had to! We are thankful for rest, fun and mostly, each other.

The pictures are of our room at Ross Bridge, the hotel; it looks like a castle, the wonderful pool area and Tim and I at PF Changs.

My Grandmother has been in the hospital this week. We were on call just in case. She will be 94 in May. She had a mild heart attack. She is doing very well and hopefully will go home tomorrow. She's the last of the grandparents to live and we are enjoying our time with her.

Joy--Your dad did an amazing job preaching on John 3:16 tonight. I was so touched, not only by his message, but by his sincerity in delivering this truth with such awe of God's incredible love. Like Pastor Johnny said, "Dr. Vines has probably never preached a finer sermon."
