Sweet Granny Vines - 94 years old!

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great Summer! We are even though it is certainly going by too fast. We are down to one month and counting until school begins again. I've enjoyed having Ashlyn home during the Summer (well, she's not been "home" alot). Her social calendar is mind-boggling!! Tim and I took a quick trip up to Georgia. Tim met up with his brother, a Pastor in Cartersville and his Dad for a day together; while I went to hang with Mom & Dad. Ashlyn was at the beach with friends so she didn't get to go. Upon coming into Atlanta; Pappasita's was calling our name!! It's one of our favorite places to eat. Their fajitas are soooo good. We enjoyed our meal then headed to Dad and Mom's to spend the night. The next day I got to spend the day with Dad & Mom (alone); that was fun/rare. We drove all into Rome, Georgia (old stomping grounds for us). We came back into Canton and Dad wanted to take us to a "tea room" he had found! Now ... my Daddy is not a "tea room" kind of guy. But we went and it was great! We joked and joked with him about the "Red Ladies Hat Club". There were red hats hanging for certain ladies groups that meet there. He wouldn't put one on :) From there we drove down to Carrollton to visit with my Granny Vines. She just turned 94. We spent the day with her. We met up with some friends we had known from FBC, Callahan. He is now a Pastor in the Carrollton area. We got to eat lunch with them and spend a few hours with them. It was great to reconnect with people!
