Fake or Real?

Am I really thinking about getting a fake tree next year? I have always said NO WAY. It's been our family tradition since the girls were born to all four go together and get our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. As the ole fella is getting older (that would be Tim) ... he has hinted for a year or two knowing what I would say. Tonight he was yanking the tree out the back door; grumbling sweetly and before I knew it I heard myself say "Honey, I'd be open to a fake tree for next year." He about fell over the tree. What got into me? I don't know. I've always loved the smell of a live tree; but with so many candles going around our home; the smell is there regardless. Yes ... I'm heading to somewhere tomorrow or Friday to "look" at fake trees. I want a real looking one. We've not told the girls yet. It will not be pretty at the Williams home, I'm afraid!!
