Things to Come?

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone's week is going good. I put my husband and 15 year old daughter on a plane today for Nicaragua. Our church is doing a missions trip for a week. I am going next year; I've never been on a missions trip; I was always raising the babies. I'm a little scared to fly; but I must give this over to the Lord - right? YES.

OK - the cutest thing happened the other day that was so darling and cute. I was in a shop and there were two little old ladies (late 70's to early 80's) and they were standing at the cute hair bands that have the darling materials that you tie underneath your hair line. Know what I mean? My girls have tons of them. Anyway, they were looking and them; oohing and aahing. I had smiled at them and was there looking at them and other jewelry. I looked up and one of the ladies had one around her neck and tied like a big bow. She looked at her friend and said "This is cute; but it's a little heavy for my neck. Is this how you wear it?" Her friend said "I think so; but it's wide on your neck and looks funny." I went around the next earring area, dying laughing inside - not AT them but how cute they sounded. I kept kinda watching and they putting them around their necks. I couldn't take it any longer! I said "Actually, my 15 and 20 year old girls wear these and you put them on your head as a headband." I proceeded to show them (on my head) what to do. They were amazed!! We began talking a little bit and they said "we feel so foolish." I assured them they weren't. I walked out of the store after having talked to them for a few minutes with a huge smile on my face. I'm not sure why; just was a sweet moment and wondering will this be ME one day? Probably. Hopefully my girls will help keeping me up "with the style" and how to do/wear it!! God bless you!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by my blog. Please feel free to stop back by any time.
Will be praying for you as you go on your missions trip and your flight-I know it can be scary.

Joy,

How exciting that your family is going on the mission trip. My boys went to Belize last year and it was life-changing for them. I don't like to fly either, but I know that God is in control and at some point, I have to not let my fears keep me from doing things for Him.

You asked about meeting other bloggers. I did it by just going to other people's blogs that I liked and then visiting the links on their blogrolls. Eventually, I narrowed down the blogs that I most enjoy reading. Of course, commenting on other blogs is a great way to get people to come visit your blog.

Does that make sense? I hope you find blogging as fun as I do.

Have a GREAT week! I'm praying for the mission trip.

Hugs!!

:-) Susan
